IPL 2024 Schedule and Fixtures

The 17th edition of the Indian Premier is set to kickstart on 22nd March with a match between the defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the M.A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. In the previous edition, CSK defeated Gujarat Titans in a nail-biting final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad to clinch their fifth IPL title. Now, MS Dhoni and his men will begin their title defense campaign with an opening match of the season at their home ground against RCB, who are in search of their first IPL title for the last 16 years.

Currently, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a schedule for only 21 matches on the first 17 days of the tournament. The remaining schedule is likely to be announced after the confirmation of 2024 General Election dates in India. A total of 10 teams will be playing a total of 74 matches for about two months across 11 cities in India.
