The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League is likely to kickstart at the end of March 2025. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) hasn’t released any schedule for the tournament and will share the updates soon.

There will be a total number of 74 matches in IPL 2025, including 70 league matches and four matches in playoffs. Each team will play 14 matches in the league stage, including seven home games and seven away games. The top four teams in the points table at the end of the league stage will be qualified for the playoffs. In the IPL 2025 Playoffs, the top two teams will play Qualifier 1 and the winning team will directly qualify for the final. However, the losing team will also get another chance to get into the final as they will play Qualifier 2 against the winner of the Eliminator. The Eliminator will be played between the third and fourth-positioned teams and the losing side will get knocked out of the title race.
