Akash Madhwal is a right-arm fast bowler from Uttarakhand who plays for Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He was having an average season in IPL 2023 before he delivered one of the best bowling figures in IPL history in the Eliminator against Lucknow Super Giants in Chennai.
While defending 182 runs against LSG in a knockout match. Akash Madhwal registered the figures of 5/5 in 3.3 overs. His spell guided MI to a famous 81-run victory that helped them to qualify for the qualifier 2. Madhwal single-handedly took the game far away from LSG and turned out to be a big match player for MI. Akash Madhwal has shown good form in his maiden IPL season and has been a constant wicket-taker for MI in IPL 2023.
