Ireland T20 World Cup 2024 Squad

On May 7th Ireland announced their best 15-men T20 squad for the upcoming 2024 World Cup in the United States and West Indies. Irish veteran batter Paul Stirling will be the skipper of the Ireland T20 World Cup squad in the 2024 World Cup. 

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 will commence on 1st June in the United States and West Indies. For the first time, the United States will host the ICC marquee event in the tournament history. Speaking of co-hosts West Indies, it will be the second time, as the group of islands hosted the T20 World Cup in 2010. In the 9th edition, there will be 20 teams who will battle in groups of four to clinch the trophy. 

Ireland is in Group A and shares the room with India, Pakistan, Canada, and the Netherlands. For the 9th edition of the T20 World Cup, Ireland announced the same 14 players from the T20I series against Pakistan and the triangular series. The only addition is seamer Josh Little in the 15-men T20 World Cup 2024 squad. 

Ireland has Harry Tector, Lorcan Tucker, Ross Adair, Curtis Campher, experienced Paul Stirling, Andrew Balbirnie, and George Dockrell, making a strong batting line-up. 

Among the bowler’s left-arm seamers Little, and Mark Adair will handle the pacer side including young talents like Graham Hume, Campher, Barry McCarthy, and Craig.  Ben White and all-rounder Gareth Delany will be the spinners for the Irish team in the T20 World Cup.
