Matthew Wade is an Australian wicketkeeper batter who is known for his power-hitting and aggressive gameplay. He is leading the Australian team in the ongoing T20I series against India. Wade will be seen playing for To Be Announced in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League in 2024.
Wade has shown good form in the recent second T20I against India in Thiruvananthapuram. He scored a quickfire 42 runs off 23 balls hitting one four and four maximums. However, it wasn’t enough as Australia fell short of India’s mammoth total of 235/4. Matthew Wade IPL Salary and Price
Matthew Wade has played only two seasons of IPL and it will be his third outing in the cash-rich league. He made his IPL debut for Delhi Daredevils (now known as Delhi Capitals) in 2011. However, he got only three games in that season and didn’t get featured in the tournament for 11 years. Then ahead of IPL 2022, the brand new franchise Gujarat Titans bought him for INR 2.4 crore in the auction. Wade already made headlines after he hit those three consecutive sixes against Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi in the semi-final of the 2021 T20 World Cup as Australia made it into the final and eventually went on to become the champions of the tournament.
