England T20 World Cup 2024 Squad
2022 defending Champion England released their best 15 men on 30th April ahead of the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Captain Jos Butler and his team will defend their title to add the third T20 World Cup trophy to England’s Cricket mantle.
The United States and the West Indies co-host the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup for the first time in cricket history. The 9th edition of the 2024 T20 World Cup is scheduled for 1st June and will last until 29th June.
This year, 20 teams will participate to clinch the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. All these 20 teams are grouped in four with each containing five teams. The selection of the 20 teams is based on two hosts, the top eight teams from the 2022 edition, the next two teams in the ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings, and eight teams determined by regional qualifiers.
Ahead of the 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, England’s first face-off is set with Scotland on June 4th at Kensington Oval Stadium. England’s squad for the T20WC has some of the top players including Jos Buttler, Will Jacks, Phil Salt, and Jonny Bairstow, and allrounder Moeen Ali named as a vice-captain. Star pacer Jofra Archer’s return also makes a stir among cricket fans.
Sam Curran, Harry Brook, and Liam Livingstone can also perform as a lower-order batter as pacers. Other pacers are Mark Wood, and Reece Topley, while Adil Rashid and Tom Hartley powered the spinner’s side of the squad.
