After finishing at the bottom in the 2023 edition, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) had a brilliant IPL 2024 as they were among the top two teams in the competition. They were unfortunate that they lost the final against Kolkata Knight Riders, but SRH would be proud to finish the tournament as runner-up. But it has certainly posed a headache for the franchise because there is a mega auction in 2025.
Every team can only retain four players from the current squad, and other players will be under the hammer. Many players did well for the team this season, but some of them might not be retained. Hence, we will talk here about the four players whom SRH might retain ahead of the IPL 2025 auction.

Four players whom SRH might retain ahead of the IPL 2025 auction (Predicted)
1. Pat Cummins

After the way Pat Cummins led the team, there is hardly any doubt that he won’t be retained next year. The SRH captain brought his fearless approach to the game, which turned this team into a force to be reckoned with. Cummins also did well with the ball and took 18 wickets. He also played good innings when needed with the bat. Though his price of INR 20.5 crore is still high but he might be one of those players whom SRH might retain ahead of the IPL 2025 auction.
2. Heinrich Klaasen

Heinrich Klaasen will be another player whom the franchise is likely to retain. The first reason is that he is a keeper, and they don’t have a specialist keeper who can do well with the bat in the middle order. Furthermore, he has done a tremendous job in the IPL 2024 as well. He has scored 479 runs at a strike rate of 171.07. He is with the team for a price of INR 5.25, and if he goes into the auction, it will not be easy to get him back at this price point. So it will be better to retain him.
3. Abhishek Sharma

Abhishek Sharma has certainly established himself as one of the best upcoming Indian talents in the IPL. The Southpaw has shown a brilliant version of himself and ended up hitting the most sixes in the tournament. He scored 484 runs at an average of 32.26 and a strike rate of 204.21. He has also knocked on the door for a place in the Indian T20I squad. We might see him play for India soon, which will raise his stock more. Hence, SRH might look to retain him ahead of the upcoming IPL 2025 auction.
4. T. Natarajan

T. Natarajan was the highest wicket-taker for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2024. The left-arm pacer took 19 wickets at an economy rate of 9.05 and bowled under pressure. He was one of the best bowlers, and generally, the team with good bowlers does better. That is why Natarajan can be a great player for the team. He has been a consistent performer for the team, is still young, and can play for the team in the coming years.
