The IPL 2024 is scheduled to kickstart on 22nd March with an opening match between the defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The runners of the 2020 season, Delhi Capitals (DC) will begin their IPL 2024 campaign with a match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Mohali on 23rd March. However, according to the half-released IPL 2024 schedule till 7th March, DC will be playing two of their home matches at the Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.
Currently, DC are not scheduled to play at their regular home ground at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi because of the 2024 General Elections in India. However, after BCCI will release the remainder schedule followed by the announcement of Election dates, DC are likely to play their remaining home matches back at Arun Jaitley. DC Records in ACA VDCA Cricket Stadium (Vizaag)
The Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy Cricket Stadium is not the regular home ground of Delhi Capitals. However, DC have played five IPL matches on this ground by coming out victorious on two occasions and losing three games. DC first played in Visakhapatnam in IPL 2015 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on 18th April, 2015.
