Yet another season where RCB failed to get their hands on the coveted IPL trophy, as their campaign ends after failing to beat RR in Eliminator. And it was CSK fans who were seen to be most elated with the result.
The evergreen rivalry between CSK and RCB has been a tale that dates a long back but things got much more intense when RCB knocked out CSK on May 18. In that virtual knockout match, RCB got better of CSK by 27 runs which secured them the spot in the playoffs. Leading RCB fans to make fun of their South Indian rivals. So, following their loss against Rajasthan the CSK fanbase returned the favour as they took over social media to troll RCB and their fans. The Yellow Army didn’t stop there, as they were even seen on the streets celebrating RCB’s exit.

It didn’t end just with the fans as former CSK player and six-time IPL winner Ambati Rayudu also joined the bandwagon to take a dig at RCB.
“IPL Trophies are not won by celebrations and aggression. IPL Trophy is not winning by only beating CSK. To win the IPL trophy you will have to play well in the Playoffs,” said Rayudu during the Star Sports broadcast.
CSK player Tushar Deshpande also joined the party and shared an Instagram story with a caption saying “CSK fans are built different” with a picture of ‘Bengaluru Cant’ railway station. He deleted the post soon to avoid any sort of backlash.
Ahead of the Eliminator, both RR and RCB had a polar opposite journey this campaign before reaching to the playoffs. Rajasthan had a blistering start to their campaign winning eight out of nine games which helped them to secure the playoffs spot. After that their campaign took a tumble as they failed to secure a single win in their next five games, subsequently losing their place in the Qualifiers 1. On the other hand, RCB had a completely contrasting journey, they were thought to be out of the playoffs race at first after managing to win only one out of their first eight games. Since then they haven’t looked back and secured six wins on the trot, beating defending champions CSK on the way to secure the last available spot in the playoffs.
