Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC) are two of the teams who are yet to win an IPL title even after being part of the tournament since its inception in 2008. RCB have made it into the final three times in 2009, 2011 and 2016, but haven’t been able to cross the final hurdle on all three occasions. On the other hand, DC have qualified for an IPL final just once in 2020 where they went on to lose against Mumbai Indians.
Notably, both RCB and DC have been consistent in the last few editions, with RCB qualifying for the playoffs consecutively from 2020 to 2022, and DC from 2019 to 2021. However, both teams missed out on the top four spots in IPL 2023 and will be coming to lift their maiden IPL title.
