Saurav Chauhan is young and aspiring cricketer from Gujarat, who will be seen playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2024.  He is the left-handed wicketkeeper batsman who plays for Gujarat in domestic cricket and holds the record of smashing the fastest century in the history of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. 

In a match between Gujarat and Arunachal Pradesh in Ranchi on 16th October 2023, Chauhan took just 13 balls to reach the 50-run mark scoring the fastest half-century of all-time in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He surpassed Meghalaya batter  Abhay Negi who took 14 balls to score a half-century in a match against Mizoram in 2019. Chauhan smashed 61 runs off just 18 balls hitting five fours and six sixes as Gujarat chased the target of 127 runs in just 7.4 overs. Chauhan also holds the record of the highest strike rate in an innings in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy with at least 10 balls played.
