The five-time champions Mumbai Indians are aiming to lift their sixth title in IPL 2024 under the leadership of their new skipper Hardik Pandya. The 17th edition of the IPL will kickstart on 22nd March, while MI will begin their campaign against Gujarat Titans (GT) in Ahmedabad on 24th March. After playing their first two matches of the season, MI will finally return to their home as they will take on Rajasthan Royals (RR) in match number 14 of the season at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on 1st April, 2024.

It is the same ground where India defeated Sri Lanka in the final of the 2011 ODI World Cup to lift the title after a wait of 28 years. With a capacity of 33,108 spectators, Wankhede is one of the best cricket stadiums in India with an enthralling atmosphere and response from the fans. Now, the Wankhede Stadium will be hosting a minimum seven matches in the upcoming season of the IPL.
Talking about the pitch of the Wankhede Stadium, the surface has been great for batting and the ground has hosted so many high-scoring thrillers throughout the years.
