Alzarri Joseph is a cricketer from West Indies who will be seen playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2025. Born in Antigua to 20th November 1996, Joseph made his international debut for West Indies in a Test match against India at Gros Islet on 9th August, 2016. He played a crucial part in West Indies’ historic victory against Australia at Gabba in January 2024, taking total 6 wickets in a match.
Joseph made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians (MI) against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Hyderabad on 6th April 2019. It turned out to be a memorable debut for the right-arm pacer as he registered the best ever figures by a bowler in IPL history. He took 6 wickets in his debut IPL match by conceding just 12 runs in 3.4 overs as MI won the game by 40 runs. He was last seen playing in the IPL for Gujarat Titans (GT) in 2024. Alzarri Joseph was signed by Mumbai Indians in mid-season in IPL 2019 as an injury replacement for Adam Milne. Even after registering the historic figures of 6/12 in his debut match, Joseph played only three matches in that season and was released by MI ahead of IPL 2020. After missing the league for a couple of years, Joseph was picked by Gujarat Titans for ₹2.4 Crore in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. After two years with GT, his services have been acquired by RCB for ₹11.5 Crore ahead of IPL 2025.

Alzarri Joseph was picked by RCB in the IPL 2024 auction as the franchise was looking for a proper fast bowler after releasing their key pacers like Harshal Patel and Josh Hazlewood. Now, the Antiguan cricketer is likely to play as spearhead fast bowler with Mohammed Siraj in the upcoming season.
