Devdutt Padikkal was looking in great touch when he played as an opener for RCB in his first two years in IPL. However, after joining RR in IPL 2022, he mostly batted one down or two down and couldn’t continue the same form he was having for RCB. Now, he will be playing for LSG in the IPL 2024, and with players like KL Rahul, Quinton de Cock, and Kyle Mayers, Padikkal is unlikely to continue as an opening batter in the upcoming season. He will be looking to improve his game which will be suitable for any batting order.
