Star Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya is all set to play for Mumbai Indians (MI) in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2024. After leading Gujarat Titans (GT) for two years, Pandya now has now been traded to the franchise from where he started his IPL career.
It was an all-cash deal between MI and GT as MI payed INR 15 crore to Pandya for joining their squad in IPL 2024. Notably, it is believed that Pandya is bought to replace Rohit Sharma as the captain of MI in future. He had a successful stint as the skipper of GT as he first led them to the title in their maiden IPL season in 2022. Notably, GT also finished as the runners-up in IPL 2023 in Hardik’s captaincy.
