The record for the highest opening partnership in the IPL goes to KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock. In the 2022 IPL season, KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock together scored 210* runs for Lucknow Super Giants against KKR and created a new IPL record for the first wicket.
The 210* record of KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock is also the third-highest partnership run in the IPL history after Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers’ second-highest partnership record of 215* runs in the 2015 IPL season.
The second place for the highest opening partnership in the IPL has been named to Shubman Gill, B Sai Sudharsan who scored 210 runs in 2025 IPL. Shubman and Sudharsan bagged 210 runs for GT against CSK.Â
The third place for the highest opening partnership in the IPL is held by the same Gill and Sudharsan who scored 205 not out, which was against DC.Â
