Sri Lanka head coach Chris Silverwood resigns from his position citing personal reasons.
On Thursday, 27 June Sri Lanka Cricket Board shocked the sports world with an announcement that Chris Silverwood had stepped down from the Head Coach position. The news came out right after Mahela Jayawardene, a former captain, also resigned from the post of consultant coach on Wednesday.
Many assume it is the aftermath of Wanindu Hasaranga and his squad’s disappointing performance in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup drastically failing to qualify for the Super 8.
