Sad news for cricket fans. David Johnson, a former Indian bowler who once threw a fiery pace (157.8 kph!) against Australia, passed away at 52 in Bengaluru.
David Johnson once a fast pacer star committed suicide on thursday by jumping off from the fourth floor of the private building apartment in Bengaluru. The incident was reported by the Kothanur Police on receiving information and then the body was taken to the nearby Crescent hospital.
As per the close sources of the bowler, it has been revealed that the cricketer was dealing with mental health issues and depression and has been in and out of hospital.also he has been financially unstable since the day his cricket scenes got bad and as a result his family has sought help from friends.

Who was David Johnson?
David Johnson was born on October 16, 1971, in Arsikere, Karnataka, India, was a right handed batsman and right arm fast medium bowler who made his test debut against Australia in 1996 which India won by 7 wickets and David made Micahel slater as his first International victim and played his last match on December 26, 1996, against South Africa. The team India Debut of him was because of his impressive stats that he played while playing for Ranji match and Karnataka cricket team.
Known as one of the fastest Indian bowlers, Johnson’s excellent performance in domestic cricket, notably taking 10 wickets for 152 runs against Kerala in the 1995-96 Ranji Trophy, earned him a place on the Indian team. But despite a promising start his career couldn’t flourish as he struggled with Consistency and injuries which limited his opportunities at international level but he still continued to play in domestic cricket.
