However, PBKS also had a fiery start while chasing a big total as Jonny Bairstow and Prabhsimran Singh smashed 93 runs for the first wicket in just six overs. Prabhsimran got out after smashing 54 runs off just 20 balls. After that, Bairstow took the charge and put up another 85-run partnership along with Rilee Rossouw (26 off 16). After that, Bairstow and Shashank Singh took the game forward and ended up achieving the highest successful chase in T20s as PBKS defeated KKR by 8 wickets. Bairstow remained unbeaten on 108 off just 48 balls hitting eight fours and nine sixes, while Shashank smashed 68 not out off just 28 balls with two four and eight maximums.
Not only this, the KKR vs PBKS IPL match also witnessed the highest number of six in a T20 game. A Total of 42 were smashed in yesterday’s game out of which 18 were scored by KKR batters. On the other hand, PBKS batter smashed 24 sixes in their chase. Looking at all the stat and the score, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that this match was a complete nightmare for the bowlers which made India’s star spinner Ashwin tweet for them after the match. The 37-year-old shared a tweet on his ‘X’ account where he wrote “Save the bowlers” someone plsss”. Ashwin shared this tweet in context to the high-scoring matches in every second game in this year’s IPL. Replying to his tweet, Aswhin’s Rajasthan Royals’ spin counterpart Yuzvendra Chahal also shared an GIF where it was written “Sab Bhagwan ji ke hawaale”
