Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are set to take on Delhi Capitals (DC) in match number 47 of IPL 2024 at Eden Gardens on 29th April. This will be the second time both teams will lock horns in the ongoing season of the IPL. In the previous encounter between both teams at Vizag, KKR posted 272/7, which is now the third highest total in IPL history, and went on to win the match by 106 runs. Now DC will be looking to settle scores with the two-time champions in front of their home crowd.
KKR are coming after losing their last game to Punjab Kings where they failed to defend 261 runs as PBKS achieved the highest successful run chase in IPL history. In their last three matches at Eden Gardens, KKR have been a part of high-scoring matches, where they lost to Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings and won by just 1 run while defending 222 runs against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. However, they are still at the top of the points table with five wins in eight matches and will be looking to get a big win against DC to make their chances stronger for the playoffs.
Talking about DC, they are coming after winning two high-scoring encounters against Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians respectively by a close margin. First they registered a four-run victory against GT while defending 224 runs and then posted 257 runs against MI, winning the match by 10 runs. After back-to-back wins at their home ground, DC will now travel to Kolkata to take on KKR in their upcoming IPL 2024 fixture.

KKR- X Factors
Phil Salt and Sunil Narine have turned out to be one of the most dangerous opening pairs in IPL 2024 and have been giving fiery starts to the team this year. Narine has also impressed with the ball, bowling at an economy of six in the last game where both teams scored more than 260 runs. In the middle order, Andre Russell and Rinku Singh have the ability to finish the innings on a high note. In the bowling line up, Varun Chakravarthy, Suyash Sharma and Harshit Rana can turn out to be X-factors for KKR in the upcoming match.

Delhi Capitals also have strong batting line up this season where Jake Fraser-McGurk has been a find of the franchise this year and giving fiery start in the powerplay.
