Virat Kohli and Yuzvendra Chahal had a reunion a day ahead of IPL 2024 clash between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on 6th April. Notably, Chahal used to play for RCB under Kohli’s captaincy before he was released by the franchise ahead of IPL 2022 and was picked by RR for ₹6.5 Crore in the mega auction.
A day before RR’s home match against RCB, Chahal had a reunion with his ex-IPL skipper Kohli and both players shared fun moments at SMS Stadium. The video was posted by RR on their social media with a caption ‘Some friendships never change (three heart emojis)’. Meanwhile, RCB also posted some pictures of Kohli and Chahal on social media with a caption ‘ It’s nice to see you again, Yuzi!’

The unbeaten Rajasthan Royals will host Royal Challengers Bengaluru in match number 19 of IPL 2024 in Jaipur. RR are currently on a winning role with three back-to-back wins from three matches so far. They defeated Lucknow Supergiants and Delhi Capitals in the first two matches at SMS Stadium respectively. After that, RR thrashed Mumbai Indians at their home ground Wankhede Stadium to register their third victory of the season. RR are currently standing in the 2nd position at the points table with three wins from three wins.
On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bengaluru are looking out of touch losing three out of their first four matches of IPL 2024 so far. They started theri campaign with a loss against Chennai Super Kings at Cheapauk Stadium. They got their first win as soon as they got back at their home ground as they defeated Punjab Kings by 4 wickets at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. However, RCB couldn’t continue their winning momentum for long as they went on to lose their next two home games against Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow Supergiants respectively.
Now RCB will face the unbeaten RR at their den at SMS Stadium. When last time both teams met at this ground on 14th May, 2023. RCB thrashed RR by 112 runs after bowling them out for just 59 runs.
