In the game between Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals, misery piled upon Faf-led Royal Challengers Bengaluru, occupying the tenth spot on the points table. After the victory against LSG, DC climbed to the ninth spot last night. The Rishabh Pant-led side notched up their second win of the season at the Ekana Stadium, leaving behind RCB.
Despite not even playing in the match, they declined, and the fans got more disappointed. Memes went viral all over the internet, poking the RCB fans. The famous 3idiots meme of checking results, where Sharman Joshi, aka Raju Rastogi, says, ‘Neeche se check kar neeche se’.
Then there are references from the Tarak Mehta ka ootla Chasma, where Jethalal moves aside Bapuji to stand beside Babita jii.

RCB fans were already disappointed in their last outing, where they faced the Mumbai Indians. They managed to score 196 after a brilliant finish to the innings by Dinesh Kartik. While chasing MI, they rattled their bowling by chasing the score in 15.3 overs. Ishan Kishan’s 69 and Suryakumar Yadav’s 52 were then major scorers in the run chase. Jasprit Bumrah was also outstanding, claiming a five-wicket haul.
It was the fifth loss in the sixth match for the franchise, and Faf was quite vocal about it in the post-match presentation, noting a lack of bowling firepower.
He said, “I feel like, from a batting perspective, we have to push for that 200. We don’t have as many weapons in our bowling. So, it comes down to the batting.”
In the next game, RCB will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Chinnaswamy Stadium. They would look to start over and try to turn things around.
