Rohit Sharma is back in the Indian T20I squad as a captain after 14 months for the ongoing T20I series against Afghanistan. He last seen playing in the shortest format in the semi-final of the 2022 T20 World Cup against England at the Adelaide Oval. He replaced Virat as the full-time captain of T20 international cricket after the 2021 T20 World Cup.
