Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are set to lock horns with Gujarat Titans (GT) again in IPL 2024 in match number 52 of the season at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on 4th May. In the last match between both teams at Narendra Modi Stadium this season, RCB pulled off the fastest 200-plus run chase in IPL history, scoring 206 runs in just 16 overs with Will Jacks turning out his beast mode by smashing a 41-ball hundred to take RCB down the line. Now, GT will be looking to settle scores with RCB and defeat them in front of their home crowd.
Talking about RCB, the men in Red and Gold are currently on a winning run in IPL 2024 defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans at their respective home grounds. Now, standing at the bottom of the points table with three wins in 10 matches, RCB will be looking to continue their momentum and win all the remaining matches this season to finish on 14 points and keep their hopes alive for the playoffs. Royal Challengers Bengaluru have hosted Gujarat Titans once at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on 21st May, 2023, where GT won by 6 wickets to knock RCB out of the playoffs race. In the last league match of IPL 2023, RCB posted 197/5 with Virat Kohli bringing up his seventh IPL with an unbeaten 101 runs off 61 balls hitting 13 fours and a maximum. However, his century was overshadowed by Shubman Gill who took GT past the winning line with his unbeaten 104 runs off 52 balls, hitting five fours and eight sixes. RCB- X Factors
For RCB, Virat Kohli has been a constant performer this season with 500 runs at an average of 71.42. The RCB opener also has great stats while batting against GT, with three half-centuries and a hundred in the last four matches against them. Apart from that, Will Jacks has also shown his beast mode in the last match against GT by smashing 100 runs off 41 balls, and will be looking to repeat the same in the next match against them at Chinnaswamy. In the bowling line up, Karn Sharma turned out to be effective in the last few games and he has also shown his power hitting abilities with the bat against Kolkata Knight Riders. Apart from him, Cameron Green has also been RCB’s top bowler in the last couple of games.
