Key Players from both teams
MI- X factors
After losing their first two matches consecutively, Mumbai Indians will be hoping for their big players to perform in a match against RR. The one player to whom every MI fans will look up to is the captain himself, Hardik Pandya. The things haven’t been working the way MI management would have thought after appointing Pandya as the skipper replacing Rohit Sharma. The all-rounder failed to perform with both bat and ball in the last two games and couldn’t set an example for the team. Now, it would be perfect stage for Pandya to perform big in the upcoming match in front of MI’s home crowd and led them to their first win of IPL 2024.
Apart from him, fans will also have big expectations from Rohit Sharma, who will now be playing without any pressure of captaincy. He was also looking in good touch in the previous two games against GT and SRH. Along with, Tim David and Tilak Varma are the batters to watch out for MI against RR. The bowling line up will be led by Jasprit Bumrah along with Gerald Goetzee and Shams Mulani.
RR-X factors
Talking about Rajasthan Royals, the first player that will come into the mind of the fans will be Yashasvi Jaiswal. The left-hander has played domestic cricket for Mumbai and is very much familiar with the pitch of Wankhede Stadium. Notably, Jaiswal also got his maiden IPL hundred on this ground and will look to put up another big score on this ground after falling in the previous two matches of the season. The skipper Sanju Samson could anchor the innings in middle overs and let batters like Riyan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer to go for big hits. In the bowling lineup, fast bowler Trent Boult can turn out to be dangerous for MI batters in the powerplay while the leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal could prevent the batters to score quick runs in the middle overs.
