The five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) are set to host Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in match number 25 of IPL 2024 at Wankhede Stadium on 11th April. Both teams will be looking to get back to their winning ways and continue and be one of the contenders to qualify for the playoffs. MI didn’t had a great start to the tournament as they ended up losing their first three matches of the season consecutively. However, they finally got a winning smile after they defeated Delhi Capitals by 29 runs at Wankhede to get their first win of the season.
Talking about RCB, they also started their campaign by losing to Chennai Super Kings at Chepauk. However, they didn’t take much time to get their first win of the season as they defeated Punjab Kings by 4 wickets in their second match of the season at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The Men in Red and Gold couldn’t continue their winning momentum for long as they lost their next three matches back-to-back to Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Supergiants and Rajasthan Royals. Now, the ninth placed RCB will face eighth placed MI in their home ground.
The match is expected to be a thriller as both teams will be looking to get back on their winning track and keep themselves in the playoffs race. Things can become more difficult for the teams who end up losing this game.

Key Players from both teams
MI- X Factors
Mumbai Indians have star batters in their squad such as Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Tim David who have great records at Wankhede Stadium and can turn on their beast mode in the upcoming match against RCB. Apart from this, the return of Suryakumar Yadav has provided more strength to the star studded batting lineup with Hardik Pandya and Romario Shepherd coming as finishers. In the bowling line, MI have Jasprit Bumrah, who can take on the world class batters on any type of pitch. Along with him, MI have Gerald Coetzee, who shone with the ball in the last match against DC by taking 4 wickets for 34 runs.
RCB- X Factors
For RCB, Virat Kohli has been a lone warrior in this season. With 316 runs from five matches, Kohli is currently the leading run scorer of IPL 2024 so far and will be looking to score another big knock in the upcoming match against MI. However, he would need support from the other end with skipper Faf du Plessis and Glen Maxwell looking to get their form back against MI. While Dinesh Karthik will continue his role and will be looking to finish the innings on a high for RCB. IN the bowling line-up RCB would mostly rely on fast bowlers like Mohammed Siraj, Reece Topley and Yash Dayal.
