The final match was held at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai against Sri Lanka, the team of Sri Lanka has always been a tough competition in the game. And in this match India had a rough start by losing two wickets initially and had target of 275 runs but later the game was upturned by the partnership of Gautam Gambhir and MS Dhoni. And the match was completed by the captain with a six which is the milestone of the history. In this match MS Dhoni scored 91 and Gautam Gambhir scored 97 and bought the World Cup to the nation. And this victory bought the diverse nation together with pride and unity.
