1. MI VS DC – 146 runsÂ
In the 2017 IPL season, a match of Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals, MI batted first and posted 212/3 at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi. MI openers Lendl Simmons and Kieron Pollard are the key batters who scored 66(43) and 36(35) respectively. In defense, Delhi batters couldn’t face the MI bowlers and scored 66 runs in 13.4 overs. The MI defeated the DC and won the match by 146 runs.
2. RCB Vs GL – 144 runs
Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Lions have the records for the second-highest margin victory in the IPL 2016. The RCB star batter Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers reigned on GL bowlers and bagged 109(55) and 129(52) to help the squad score 248/3 at the M Chinnaswamy. However, the Gujarat Lions batter failed to achieve the target and all out 104 runs in 18.4 overs.
3. KKR Vs RCB – 140 runs
The third biggest winning margin record is named to KKR against RCB in the 2008 IPL season. Kolkata Knight Riders batter Brendon McCullum was the one-man army who bagged 158 runs off 73 balls and contributed to post 222/3. This time RCB batters couldn’t chase the target and scored only 82 runs in 15.1 overs.
4. RCB Vs PBKS – 138 runs
Once again RCB has a record for 4th highest margin victory in the IPL history. Chris Gayle who was part of the RCB in the 2015 IPL season smashed a ton and scored 117 runs at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. It was a notable contri in the RCB’s 227 target, which Punjab Kings failed to achieve. PBKS only scored 88 runs in 13.4 overs.
5. RCB Vs PWI – 130 runs
Again, RCB is topping the highest margin victory in IPL history with a 130-run victory over PWI in the IPL 2013 season. Once again Chris Gayle stunned everyone with his 175 runs to help RCB to score 263/5 runs at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. In return, Pune Warriors (now defunct) only scored 133/9 in 20 overs
6. SRH Vs RCB – 118 runsÂ
SRH is the next on the list with 118 runs victory over RCB in the IPL season 2019. The SRH openers Jonny Bairstow and David Warner bagged 114 (56) and 100 (55) and contributed to the 231/2 target. Which was unchased by the RCB and all out on 113 runs in 19.5 overs at Uppal Stadium.
7. RCB Vs RR – 112 runs
Again RCB has one of the biggest margin victory records against RR in the IPL 2023 season. Batted first RCB’s captain Faf du Plessis 55(44) and Glenn Maxwell 54(33) helped in scoring 171/5 against RR at the SMS Stadium in Jaipur. However, Rajasthan Royals failed to easy target of 172 runs and all out on 59 runs in 10.3 overs.
8. PBKS Vs RCB – 111 runs
Next, we have the Punjab Kings who have the 111-run highest margin victory against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL 2011 season. PBKS batter Adam Gilchrist bagged 106 runs in 55 balls, and Shaun Marsh scored 79 runs in 49 balls helping in towering a 232 score for 2 wickets fall. The RCB who is known for the strong batting line-up failed to achieve the target, scoring only 121 runs in 17 overs at the HPCA Stadium.
9. KKR Vs DC – 106 runs
Kolkata Knight Riders is in the 9th position with 106 runs victory over DC in the top 10 biggest wins in IPL history. In the IPL 2024, Kolkata Knight Riders gave a massive target of 273 runs, the second-highest team total in the T20 tournament history. Thanks to KKR Sunil Narine and Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s stellar performances at the Vizag Stadium. The KKR posted 272/7 runs with the help of Narine 85(39), Raghuvanshi 54(27), and Russell’s 41(19). When it came to DC to hunt the massive target, only Captain Rishabh Pant and Tristan Stubbs bagged half-centuries a contributed to DC’s total of 166 runs in 17.2 overs at Vizag Stadium.
10. RR Vs DC – 105 runsÂ
Last but not least, Rajasthan Royals has the record for 10th largest margin victory against Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2008. The first season winner RR recorded a target of 192 runs against Delhi Capitals (previously known as Delhi Daredevils) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. But Delhi Capitals failed to achieve the target and only scored 87 runs in 16.1 overs.
