Cricket Australia, unveils their brand new kit for the upcoming T20 World Cup which kicks off in June. The team will be seen in a predominantly green kit, ditching their previous classic black and gold T20 jersey which was seen since the 2012 World Cup. This will be the first time that the Kangaroos will be donning a green dominant outfit in an ICC event.
The Asics kit will have a dark green hue with a slight gradient on the top with a shade of yellowish-gold around the underarm area. Followed by the side panel which features Fiona Clarke’s Walkabout Wickets artwork which has been integrated in Aussies kits since 2016.
The 2021 T20 World Champions, announced their new jersey on their social media handles with Aussie Captain Mitchell Marsh featuring in the pictures.

The Aussies would look to continue on their purple patch at another ICC event after winning both the World Test Championship and the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup in 2023. Australia will begin their World Cup 2024 campaign on 5th June, against Oman at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.
Cricket Australia, once again didn’t shy away from axing a star player from a high magnitude event, as they dropped their former captain and star batter, Steve Smith. Another shocking exclusion was of youngster Jake Fraser McGurk, who has been a sensation in IPL 2024.
The probable lineup for the Aussies:
- Captain: Mitchell Marsh
- Openers: David Warner & Travis Head
- Batsman: Josh Inglis (wicketkeeper), Tim David
- All-rounders: Cameroon Green, Glenn Maxwell, Pat Cummins
- Bowler: Josh Hazelwood, Mitchell Starc and Adam Zampa
- Reserves: Marcus Stonis, Nathan Ellis, Matthew Wade and Ashton Agar.
