Royal Challengers Bengaluru have suffered a huge blow ahead of their last league stage match against Chennai Super Kings as their star performer Will Jacks has returned back to his home country ahead of the IPL 2024 play-offs.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru will lock horns with Chennai Super Kings for the virtual knockout match for the fourth vacant spot for play-offs on May 18 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Will Jacks has been a match winner for Royal Challengers Bengaluru and has been a noteworthy player to turn things around for the team in IPL 2024. In the eight matches he has played for RCB in the 17th edition of the tournament, Jacks has aggregated 230 runs at a whopping strike rate of 175.57, with a half century and a destructive 41 Balls century.

1. Glenn Maxwell
The attacking all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has had a substandard performance throughout the IPL 2024 season. The Australian big gun has aggregated mere 36 runs in this season which is highly unlike his batting style. However, with Will Jacks’ absence in the team, Maxwell can be an interesting cover for the English cricketer and has an opportunity to prove his worth with both the bat and the ball.
2. Suyash Prabhudessai
With the absence of Will Jacks, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will have a strong opportunity of promoting Cameron Green and Rajat Patidar while playing Suyash Prabhudessai in the middle. The team management has backed the young Goa player, However, gave him the opportunity to play only one match in the IPL against Kolkata Knight Riders, and scored 24 runs off 18 deliveries.
3. Anuj Rawat
The uncapped wicket-keeper batter Anuj Rawat has had a great run for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the past. In the 21 innings he has played for the team, Anuj has aggregated 318 runs and a half century. Rawat began the season with a quick 48 runs knock off 25 deliveries against Super Kings, however, consistent low scores forced the RCB team management to drop him.
