Sunrisers Hyderabad has appointed former New Zealand Captain Daniel Vettori as their new Head Coach. Sunrisers replaced their previous coach Brian Lara, and acquired the services of Daniel Vettori, who was earlier working with Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League.
Hyderabad acquired the services of Brian Lara as Head coach in 2023. However, under his guidance, the performance of Sunrisers Hyderabad was not up to the mark, and they finished their campaign at the bottom of the table. Vettori, who was recently appointed as the new head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad, has immense experience as a coach and has served his services for many T20 franchises and international teams.
The former Kiwi spinner was appointed the head coach of the Caribbean Premier League franchise Barbados Royals in 2024. In 2022, the Australian Cricket Board appointed him as the assistant coach of the Australian Men’s National Team. In August 2023, after the Indian Premier League was over, he was appointed as the new head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad. Daniel has also served as head coach for the franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore from 2014 to 2018.
SRH Assistant Coach for IPL 2025
Sir Simon Helmot will continue to serve his services as assistant coach for the franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2024. Simon is an Australian Cricketer who has an experience of more than 25 years in Cricket.
Simon Helmot started his career as a coach in 2008 when he was appointed as the coach of the Australia A side. Since then, he has been acquired as a coach by many franchises around the world like Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League, the Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League, and also took Trinbago Knight Riders to their title victory in the year 2015 of the Caribbean Premier League.
His journey with Sunrisers Hyderabad started in 2012. He served his services till 2019. In 2020, Sunrisers Hyderabad appointed Brad Haddin as their new coach, but in 2022, Sunrisers re-appointed Simon as their Assistant Coach.
SRH Batting Coach for IPL 2024 :- To Be Announced
Former Indian International Cricketer, Hemang Badani, is appointed as the new coach of the Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, in the past, he served as a Fielding coach for Sunrisers.
Badani, after post-retirement, started his career as a coach. He served as the head coach for Chepauk Super Gilles in the Tamil Nadu Premier League for 7 years and won 4 titles. As a consultant, he also helped Jaffna Kings to win two trophies in the Lanka Premier League.
In the Indian Premier League, Badani is not just part of the league as a coach, but also played as a player for the Chennai Super Kings in the past. Hemant Badani, as a coach, has always portrayed good results for his franchise and can be effective for the Sunrisers in the 2024 season of the Indian Premier League.
SRH Bowling Coach for IPL 2024
Sunrisers Hyderabad has appointed two different coaches to strengthen their bowling unit. The fast-bowling unit of SRH will be looked after by Bowling Coach James Franklin, and the spin-bowling arena will be looked after by legendary Srilankan off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan.
James Franklin has been appointed as the new bowling coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad after the former bowling coach Dale Steyn requested the franchise to assign him a break because of some personal reasons. On the other side, Muttiah Muralitharan will continue to deliver his services to the franchise.
In IPL 2024, It will be interesting to see Franklin whether he will fill up the shoe of Dale Steyn or not.
SRH Fielding Coach for IPL 2024
Sunrisers Hyderabad will continue their journey in the Indian Premier League with the same fielding coach, Ryan Cook. Currently, he is also the head coach of the cricket team Netherlands.
Sunrisers Hyderabad made some changes in their management after the franchise did not perform well in the Indian Premier League Season 2022. They signed Ryan Cook as their new fielding coach for the IPL season 2023 and are continuing with him in 2024.
