After five wins from six matches, the table toppers Rajasthan Royals (RR) are set to take on another challenge in IPL 2024 as they will face the second placed Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in match number 31 of the season at Eden Gardens on 16th April. Both teams are looking strong in the ongoing tournament with just one loss in their respective matches. Now, RR will be looking to get another win against KKR and make their chances stronger for the playoffs.
As RR face KKR at Eden Gardens, all eyes will be on their top batter this season, Riyan Parag. After consecutive failures in the last few seasons, Parag has finally found his form in the IPL and is having his best season so far with 284 runs from six matches at an average of 71.00 and a strike rate of 155.19 , and is currently standing in the second spot in the list of leading run scorers of IPL 2024. The 22-year-old is looking more mature with his performance this year and wouldn’t be wrong to say that he has been carrying RR’s batting line this season along with the skipper Sanju Samson.
Despite the openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler failing to give their best this year, RR batting line-up is looking strong because of Parag’s resilience in the middle-order. He has played a role of an anchor and the finisher as per the requirement of the team. Now, the right-hander will be looking to play another impactful innings against KKR in the upcoming IPL 2024 clash.
