1. MI vs CSK IPL 2021 Match – 219

Mumbai Indians’ highest run chase is against the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2021. The MI successfully chased the CSK target of 219 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in the 2021 IPL season. It is also the second-highest run chase in the IPL tournament history. Chennai Super Kings batters Ambati Raidu scored 72 not-out runs in just 27 balls along with Moeen Ali (58), and Faf du Plessis (50) and chipped in scoring 217 runs target.   

However, MI batters hunted down the 200+ target easily. All became possible because of Kieron Pollard (87* runs in 34 balls), Quinton de Kock (38 runs), and Rohit Sharma (35) amazing innings. The MI won the match by 4 wickets and defeated the CSK.  

2. MI vs PBKS IPL 2023 – 216

MI’s second-highest run chase in IPL was recorded against Punjab Kings in the 2023 IPL season. The MI successfully chased the 215-run target by the PBKS at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. It is also the fourth-highest run chase in IPL history of all time.  In the first innings of the match between MI and PBKS, Punjab batsmen Liam Livingstone (82), Jitesh Sharma (49), and captain Shikhar Dhawan (30) all contributed to the 200 Plus target. 

But MI achieved the target easily thanks to Ishan Kishan (75), Suryakumar Yadav (66), and Tilak Varma (26*). All of them contributed to scoring the 217 runs in 19 overs. The MI won the match by 6 wickets and defeated the Panjab Kings in 18.5 overs. 

3. MI vs RR IPL 2023 – 214

The third-highest run chase by the Mumbai Indians is the 213 by the Rajasthan Royals in the 2023 IPL season. The Rajasthan Royals’ youngest batter Yashasvi Jaiswal hit a century in 62 balls, scoring 124 including 8 sixes and 16 fours, and contributed in 212/7 target for the MI. 

It was one of the best Jaiswal’s performances by far the best hundred scored by a youngster in IPL history. Although RR bowlers couldn’t stop the MI batters including Suryakumar Yadav (55), Cameron Green (44), Tim David (45), and Tilak Varma (29) helped in scoring a 214/4 target. The MI clinched the victory over the RR and won by 6 wickets at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. 

4. MI vs SRH IPL 2023 – 201

The fourth highest run chases by the MI in the IPL history is against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2023. The SRH top-order batters Mayank Agarwal and Vivrant Sharma scored 83 and 69 runs respectively. Their partnership helped the Sunrisers score a 200-plus target against the MI. 

Although MI batsman Camron Green’s amazing century of 100 off 47 balls saved fans from a heartbreak. Rohit Sharma, former MI skipper also hit a half-century and scored 56 runs in 37 balls. The MI won the match by 8 wickets and defeated the SRH at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.  

5. MI vs RCB IPL 2023 – 200

The next 200+ highest run chase by the Mumbai Indians is against the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2023. The RCb’s star batters Faf du Plessis (65) and Glenn Maxwell (68) contributed to a 200-plus target for the five-times champion MI.

However, Suryakumar Yadav saved MI with his impressive 83 runs in 35 balls. Other than Surya, Nehal Wadhera (52) and  Ishan Kishan (42) also helped in achieving the target. Once again MI successfully chased the highest total score and won the match by 6 wickets at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
