Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) didn’t have a great start to IPL 2024, as they lost their first match to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a high-scoring encounter at Eden Gardens. The SRH batter almost pulled off a 209-run chase but fell short by 4 runs. However, in the next match against Mumbai Indians at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, SRH had a record-breaking outing where they posted the highest-ever IPL total, 277/3, with fiery innings by Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, and Heinrich Klaasen. In reply, MI also gave a tough and posted their highest IPL total, 246/5, but still fell short of 31 runs from SRH’s mammoth total.
Now, SRH will look to continue their winning streak and defeat GT at their home ground. One of the senior players from SRH to look out for in a match against GT will be Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The right-arm fast bowler has been a pivotal part of SRH throughout the year.
