The social media has been getting immense response since Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Women clinched their maiden WPL title on Sunday after defeating Delhi Capitals (DC) by 8 wickets in the final at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. After the match, there was a rain of appreciation and congratulations for RCB all over social media.
However, the admin of the Rajasthan Royals (RR) came up with a hilarious way to congratulate RCB Women for their title victory. Praising RCB Women, RR posted a photo of the infamous meme from the popular television show, Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC). Through the meme featuring two popular characters from the show, Jethalal and Daya, the RR admin tried to depict how the RCB Men’s team has been struggling to win a single trophy for the last 16 years, while the Women’s team has become champions in their second season in the WPL.

Talking about the final match, Delhi Capitals had a fiery start in the title clash as Meg Lanning and Shafali Verma added 64 runs in seven overs for the first wicket and they were looking set to post a mammoth total. However, things completely changed after Sophie Molineux took 3 wickets in a duration of just four balls in the eighth over. DC couldn’t recover from that as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were bowled out for just 113 runs in 18.3 overs losing the last 10 wickets for just 48 runs, Shreyanka Patil was a star with the ball with 4 scalps by conceding 12 runs in 3.3 overs, while Molineux registered the figures of 3/20.
Chasing a low total, RCB had a steady start as the skipper Smriti Mandhana and Sophie Devine put up a partnership of 49 runs for the first wicket in eight overs. At last, Richa Ghosh hit a boundary in the last over along with Ellyse Perry at non-strike as RCB players finally got the feeling of winning the trophy. On the other hand, DC lost their second WPL final in a row.
