Every year Caribean’s domestic league of CPL breaks new records for most runs for the season. But who has bagged the most runs throughout the Caribbean Premier League history?

CPL Most Runs from 2013 to 2024
Johnson Charles, a West Indies batter has by far scored the 2855 most runs in the CPL in the 106 matches. Since the inception of CPL 2013, Johnson Charles has been playing in the tournament. First, he joined the Antigua Hawksbills before moving to the St Lucia Zouks. In his 106 matches, Charles has scored 2855 runs with an average of 27.99 and a strike rate of 128.31. His highest score is an unbeaten 94 however still looking for his maiden ton in the tournament.
Andre Fletcher comes next in the CPL most runs by a player in the tournament. Another WI top batter Andre Fletcher is only a few runs behind Johnson Charles. So far Fletcher has amassed 2817 runs with an average of 29.65 and a strike rate of 119.46 in the 108 matches.
Third is Lendl Simmons, another prominent batter who has scored 2629 runs with an average of 31.67 and a strike rate of 119.71 in 93 CPL matches. Simmons announced his retirement from International Cricket in 2022. However, he has been part of the Caribean T20 Domestic League and has represented 5 teams in the CPL history.
Then Kieron Pollard scored 2574 runs including 1 century and 12 half-century in 114 matches. Pollard has a batting average of 33 with a strike rate of 149.39.
Last but not least, one of the greatest all-rounders Chris Gayle has scored 2519 runs with 4 centuries which is the highest in the CPL history. Gayle scored more than 2500 runs in just 85 games with a strike rate of 133.13.
