The table toppers Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will host Mumbai Indians (MI) in match number 60 of IPL 2024 at Eden Gardens on 11th May. With eight wins in 11 matches so far, KKR need just one more victory to become the first team to officially qualify for the playoffs. They are also coming after a massive 98-run win over Lucknow Supergiants in their previous game at Ekana Cricket Stadium. On the other hand, the five-time champions MI are now officially out of the playoffs race and become the first team to get eliminated this year.
This will be the second time when KKR and MI will lock horns against each other in IPL 2024. In their previous encounter, KKR defeated MI at Wankhede Stadium after 12 years with a 24-run victory against the hosts. Venkatesh Iyer’s 70 runs off 52 balls guided KKR to 169 runs in 19.5 overs. After that, Mitchell Starc turned out to be a star with the ball as the left-arm pacer registered match winning figures of 4/33 as MI were bowled out for 145 runs in 18.5 overs.

Sunil Narine turned out to be a star performer for KKR this year with both and ball and has played a major role in franchise’s success this year. Apart from him, Phil Salt has been a nightmare for the bowlers with Narine as his opening pair, and Andre Russell comes to finish things off in death overs. In the bowling line up, Mitchell Starc ahs also got his rhythm back while, while Harshit Rana is also delivering consistently for SRH this season.
