1. RCB Vs PBKS IPL 2010 Match- 204
The Royal Challengers Banglore chased a mammoth 204 runs and defeated Punjab Kings (former Kings Xi Punjab) at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in the 2010 IPL season. The Punjab squad took the batting lead and scored 203 runs with Ravi Bopara’s 77 runs and Manvindar Bisla’s 75 runs generous contribution.
However, Proteas all-rounder Jacques Kallis and then RCB batter played a crucial role and scored a not-out 89 runs. The former Indian player Robin Uthappa also contributed the 51 runs in the RCB victory over PBKS. The RCB won by 8 wickets in 19 overs and defeated the Punjab in 2010.
2. RCB Vs KKR IPL 2016 Match- 184
The Royal Challengers second highest run chase of 184 runs in the IPL is against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Garden Stadium. In the 2016 IPL season, the RCB won the toss and chose to bowl first. The Royal Challengers Bangalore’s third-highest run chase is against the Pune Warriors (now defunct) in the 2012 IPL. The Pune Warriors set a target of 183 runs for the RCB at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.
Pune Warriors batters Robin Uthappa (69), Jesse Ryder (34), and Marlon Samuels (34) contributed to the 183-run target against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, Chris Gayle’s memorable innings of 81 runs in just 48 balls with a strike rate of 168.75 was a huge help to RCB’s run chase and defeating the PWI. The Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings (formerly known as Kings XI Punjab) had some high-intensity clashes in the IPL 2010. The second match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings was one of those matches played at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali. With the help of Kumar Sangakkara (45/27) and Ravi Bopara (42/33) once again PBKS took the lead and scored a target of 182 runs for the RCB.
