Virat Kohli Double Centuries: Star Indian batter Virat Kohli has been tremendous in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup in India. The 35-year-old is among the leading run scorers of the tournament with 543 runs from eight matches played so far at an average of 108.60 along with four half-centuries and two centuries. Kohli has been a consistent scorer for India in the ongoing tournament and has been finishing games for his team. He recently achieved the milestone of 49 ODI centuries after his unbeaten 101 runs in a match against South Africa on 5th November at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. He equalized the record of most centuries in the 50-over format with the Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. However, he also became the first batter to score 50 centuries in limited-overs cricket as he also has scored a ton in T20Is.
With 79 centuries across formats, Virat Kohli is just behind Sachin Tendulkar in the list of players with the most centuries in International cricket. Tendulkar has amassed a record 100 centuries across formats while Kohli is 21 hundreds away from surpassing the Indian legend.

Afterward, he scored a double ton in every consecutive series against New Zealand, England, and Bangladesh respectively. Virat Kohli has not scored any double centuries in ODIs. His highest score in an ODI is 183, which he scored against Pakistan in the 2012 Asia Cup.
Kohli is one of the most successful batsmen in ODI cricket history, with over 13626 runs at an average of over 58.48. He has scored 49 centuries and 70 half-centuries in the format.
Despite not having scored a double century in ODIs, Kohli is still considered to be one of the best ODI batsmen of all time. He is the only player to have scored four centuries in four consecutive ODI series, and he is also the fastest batsman to reach 10,000 runs in ODIs.
