After a winning start against Mumbai Indians on Sunday, Gujarat Titans (GT) will now travel to Chennai to face the defending champions Chennai Super Kings at their own den at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium or Chepauk Stadium. Both teams will be coming after winning thier first match and will continue their winning momentum.
Both GT and CSK last met during the IPL 2023 final in Ahmedabad where CSK defeated GT by 5 wickets to win their fifth IPL title. Now, GT will be looking to take the revenge of the previous year’s final loss by defeating CSK at their home ground, for which, they will be hoping for a contribution from every player.
Along with Gill, veteran Indian cricketer Wriddhiman Saha will also be seen opening the innings for GT in IPL 2024. Saha has been one of the main players for GT in the last couple of years. He was also looking in good touch in the previous match against MI in Ahmedabad but got out after scoring just 19 runs off 15 balls.
