The champions of IPL 2022, and the runners-up of IPL 2023, Gujarat Titans (GT) are set to kickstart their IPL 2024 campaign with a match against the five-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders on 13th May at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Both teams will play under a new captain in the upcoming season. For GT, Shubman Gill will take the charge as a skipper replacing Hardik Pandya who has been traded to MI and will lead the franchise in the upcoming season.
Talking about GT, there have been several players who turned out to be match for the team in the last couple of years. However, one of the players who kind of redeemed his career in GT is Mohit Sharma. The veteran Indian fast bowler had a breathtaking season last year where he finished as the second highest wicket-taker of the season with 27 scalps from 14 matches.
