5. Manish Pandey – 94 runs vs Punjab Kings in 2014
Only five times has a batter scored 90 or more runs in an IPL final. Manish Pandey did it in the chase against Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). PBKS posted a big score of 199/4 in the first inning, and those days chasing 200 runs were a big thing. But Manish made sure that KKR were chasing it down. Coming out to bat at No. 3 in the very first over. He scored 94 runs off 50 balls, with seven fours and six sixes. KKR made 200/7 in 19.3 overs to win the title.
4. Murali Vijay – 95 runs vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2011
Murali Vijay was one of the best batters for CSK during his stint. He won numerous matches for the team, including the 2011 final. The final was played at Chapauk Stadium, and CSK posted a big total of 205/5 in the finals. Vijay scored a brilliant 95 runs off 52 balls, with four boundaries and six maximums, and added a 159-run opening stand with Mike Hussey (63 off 45). RCB only managed 147/8 in the chase, and CSK won the final, with Murali winning the Man of the Match award.
3. Sai Sudharsan – 96 runs vs Chennai Super Kings in 2023
The 2023 IPL final was played for over two days as the rain spoiled the sport on the first day. It was played between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings at Narendra Modi Stadium. It was a high-scoring clash. GT batted first and scored a total of 214/4. That was largely because of a tremendous knock by Sai Sudharsan. He hit a 33-ball fifty and made 96 runs off 47 balls, with 8 fours and six sixes. But the rain interrupted again, and CSK had a 171-run target to chase in 15 overs. They did it on the last ball, and Sudharsan’s effort ended in vain.
2. Wriddhiman Saha – 115 not out vs Kolkata Knight Riders in 2014
Wriddhiman Saha holds the record for the highest individual score in an IPL final in the first innings. He scored a century while batting first in the 2014 final against Kolkata Knight Riders at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Saha made a 49-ball ton and scored an unbeaten 115 off 55 balls, with 10 fours and 8 sixes, helping his team reach 199/4. But PBKS couldn’t defend the title, and KKR made 200/7 in 19.3 overs to win the final and their second title.
1. Shane Watson – 117 not out vs Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2018
Shane Watson has registered the highest individual score in the IPL final. He had it during the 2018 final against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Wankhede Stadium. It is also one of the highest individual scores while chasing a target in the IPL. SRH scored 178/6 in the first innings. CSK chased it down in just 18.3 overs to win the final and lift the trophy. Watson scored 117 not out from 57 balls, with 11 fours and 8 sixes, to win it for his team. He also won the Man of the Match award.
