RCB is the former and debut franchise of Mitchell Starc. This year RCB released some of the bigger names for IPL 2024 including Josh Hazlewood, Wanindu Hasaranga, and Harshal Patel.
It looks like, RCB is making room for the upcoming IPL 2024 Mini Auction to target their former pacer Micthell Starc. Also, Mitchell Starc talked about IPL 2024 in a Willow Talk cricket podcast. Mitchell said, “I’m definitely going back in (next) year.”
Starc further added,
“Amongst other things, it’s a great lead-up to the T20 World Cup. So a good opportunity to see if anyone’s interested in the IPL, then lead into the T20 World Cup. And it’s somewhat of a quiet winter next year … in comparison to this winter, so I think a perfect opportunity to put my name in.”
Mitchell debuted in IPL 2014 with RCB and IPL 2015 was his last IPL season. After that, Starc pulled himself out to focus more on Australian cricket and spend time with his family. Now this World Cup star sees vast opportunity in the IPL and wants to be a part of it. Undoubtedly, RCB will target the Aussie paceman in the IPL 2024.
Other than Mitchell Starc RCB would go for Travis Head, Rachin Ravindra, Daryl Mitchell, and Pat Cummins.
