1. DC vs Gujarat Lions IPL 2017 Match – 209
The Delhi Capitals successfully chased the Gujarat Lions 209 runs target in the IPL 2017 season. It is also the 9th highest run chase in the IPL history tournament. Previous Gujarat franchise GL (now defunct) then captain Suresh Raina bagged 77 runs on 43 balls including 5 fours and 4 sixes. Dinesh Karthik also scored 65 runs off 34 balls and gave a target of 209.
In response to that record, Delhi Capitals Rishabh Pant slammed a 96 score including 9 sixes and 6 boundaries. Sanju Samson also had a great innings and bagged 61 runs off 31 balls. The Delhi Capitals won by 7 wickets with 15 balls remaining and crushed Gujarat Lions at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi.
2. DC vs Gujarat Lions IPL 2017 Match – 197
Coincidently, Delhi Capitals’ second-highest run chase in the IPL is also against the Gujarat Lions in the same IPL 2017 season. During the first innings, Aaron Finch (69) and Dinesh Karthik (40) bagged a 190+ score for the Delhi franchise.
However, it all went in vain when Shreyas Iyer scored an impressive 96 runs in 57 balls including 15 fours and 2 sixes. The DC successfully achieved its second-highest run chase against GL. Once again DC claimed a victory over Gujarat Lions and won the match by 2 wickets at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur.
