ICC Cricket World Cup 2027: 8 Venues will hosts World Cup matches in South Africa
On Wednesday, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cricket South Africa (CSA), Pholetsi Moseki, revealed all 8 venues for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027. As quoted by CSA, Moseki said that the selection of venues was done on the basis of the availability of hotels and airports.
He said, “The exercise (of choosing the venues) was a scientific one and also included the number of hotel rooms and the availability of an airport. If there was disappointment, it was also tempered by the reality that was based on the venues that were chosen.”
Furthermore, the CSA CEO also said that South Africa had the option of 11 venues to choose from, but considering everything, 8 were selected. As hosts, South Africa and Zimbabwe will make it through directly. However, third host Namibia will play the African qualifiers to make it to the next round.
