Oman T20 World Cup 2024 Squad

Oman’s new captain Aqib Ilyas is all set to lead his squad in the 2024 T20 World Cup at the USA and West Indies. The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 is scheduled from Jun 2nd to 29 Jun with 20 teams participating in ICC’s biggest event.

All 20 teams are divided into four groups A, B, C, and D with each group containing five teams. Oman is in the Group B including the 2022 World Cup champions England, Australia, Namibia, and Scotland.  

Oman advanced through selection from the 2023 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asian Qualifier in the T20 World Cup 2024. The Oman selection committee kept the former captain Zeeshan Maqsood along with eight players from the recent ACC Premier Cup and 2021 World Cup for the 2024 T20 World Cup. Bowling Allrounder Shakeel Ahmad is a newcomer joining Oman’s squad ahead of the T20 World Cup. 

Jatinder Singh, Samay Shrivastava, Sufyan Mehmood, and Jay Odedra are named as reserve players.
