The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has finally released the complete schedule for the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026. After the mega auction on 27 November, fans were eagerly waiting for the fixtures — and now the entire timetable is out.
The fourth season of WPL will begin on 9 January 2026, and the final will be played on 5 February 2026. A total of 22 matches – including the Eliminator and the Final – will be played across Navi Mumbai and Vadodara, following the caravan model.
Two Venues, 22 Matches, 28 Days
WPL 2026 will be held in a 28-day window, keeping in mind the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which starts from 7 February. Here is the venue split:
- First 11 matches: DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai
- Remaining 11 matches + Eliminator + Final: Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara
Two double-header days (10 January & 17 January) have also been scheduled.
WPL 2026 Opening Match: MI vs RCB
The tournament will kick off with an exciting clash between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru on 9 January in Navi Mumbai. Both teams are former champions, making the opening match even more special.

Each team will play others twice in the league stage. The top-ranked team after the league stage will directly enter the final. The teams placed second and third will compete in the Eliminator on 3 February. Mumbai Indians (2023 & 2025 champions), RCB (2024 champions), Delhi Capitals, UP Warriorz, and Gujarat Giants all head into WPL 2026 with new squads after the mega auction.
WPL has quickly become one of the most impactful women’s cricket leagues in the world, offering a platform for young Indian players and international stars. With a tighter schedule, two world-class venues, and strong squads, WPL 2026 is expected to be the most competitive season yet.
