The tournament will run for 34 days across India and Sri Lanka, with 31 matches lined up. Eight top teams will battle for the prestigious trophy in a round-robin format, followed by semi-finals and the grand final.

The Women’s World Cup 2025 will kick off with India vs Sri Lanka in the opening game.

Tournament Format
- No group stage this time.
- All 8 teams will face each other once (7 matches each) in a round-robin format.

- Top 4 teams on the points table will qualify for the semi-finals.

- Semi-final 2: Rank 2 vs Rank 3
- Final: November 2 at DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai (unless Pakistan qualifies, then the final will be in Colombo).
