The Indian Pacer Jasprit Bumrah achieved a rare feat in the ICC ranking and became the first Indian bowler to reach the No.1 position. Jasprit Bumrah has also become one of the fast bowlers who reached the zenith in the ICC’s Test Bowling ranking in such a short period.
And with Jasprit Bumrah, the Indian Cricketers are topping the current ICC ranking charts including Ravindra Jadeja (No. 1 Test Allrounder) and Surya Kumar Yadav (No. 1 T20 Batter). Team India is in the second position in the ICC Test Team ranking but on top of both the ODI and T20 ICC rankings.

Kapil Dev was the only Indian bowler who previously held the best no. 2 position on the ICC Test Bowling ranking in 1979-1980.
Bumrah unlocked this achievement with his incredible performance in the Vijag test match against England. With his stellar performance of 9/91 during his side’s series-equalling 106-run victory over England in the second Test in Visakhapatnam. Jassi was also entitled Player of the Match for his 9-wicket haul in the ongoing India vs England 5 Test match series.
