Royal Challengers Bangalore is moving certain players for the upcoming IPL 2024 season. RCB made major changes and released some of the big names including Australian Star bowler Josh Hazlewood.
According to the, RCB’s new head coach Andy Flower who replaced the previous HC Sanjay Bangar, explained why RCB released Josh Hazlewood including Harshal Patel who was a big success in the past.
In 2023 due to an injury, Hazlewood only played three matches for the Bangalore franchise. RCB acquired Hazlewood Services for 7.75 crore and took 20 wickets in 12 matches of the IPL 2022 season.
Andy Flower disclosed that Josh Hazlewood will be absent for at least half of the IPL season as this Aussie pacer is expecting his first child with his wife Cherina Murphy Christian in March 2024.
So it’s best that the Banglore franchise saves their purse money for someone better replacement for Josh Hazlewood.
RCB released 11 players before the upcoming IPL Mini Auction 2024 will be held in Dubai on December 19th, 2023. Avinash Singh, David Willey, Finn Allen, Harshal Patel, Josh Hazlewood, Kedar Jadhav, Michael Bracewell, Siddharth Kaul, Sonu Yadav, Wanindu Hasaranga, Wayne Parnell were all released in 2024 IPL by the Bangalore franchise on Sunday.
